Do you feel bad about how much pollution your car contributes? If you do, you can do multiple things to reduce the pollution your car generates. Here are some of them.

Slow Down
Hard acceleration and speeding waste a lot of gasoline. Slow a bit down and maintain your pace. Aside from helping mother earth, you also save a bit of cash due to lower gasoline consumption.

Use Your Car Efficiently
The more you are on the road with your car, the more pollution it generates. Consolidate all your trips, and be sure to use your feet instead of your wheels from time to time — if possible, of course. And when you need to pick up someone or to park, shutoff your engine, especially if you will be on standby for a while.

Lighten Your Car’s Load
The lighter your car, the faster it can run using less fuel. Although, it can result into miniscule change, it is still an effort you can do. Unless you have something as heavy as an HVAC in your car every time, you do not need to worry about your car’s load.

Dispose Your Car’s Waste Properly
Your old batteries, coolant/antifreeze, and motor oil should be disposed properly. Also, be sure to replace all fluids and filters in your car according to its manual.

Maintain Your Car
Make sure that your car is always running in its peak condition. Do not let your car experience difficulties. For example, letting it run while its tires are deflated will make the car consume more fuel and make the engine work harder.

Let the Expert Do Their Jobs
If you are not confident when it comes to fixing and maintaining your car, it is much better to find a good technician that will do all of those things for you. Doing so will help your car become efficient and produce less pollution, but it will also save a lot of your time.
